Nature Trust’s project EkoSkola, each year costs €120,000 but has proved to be a successful one and for the case of Gozo, students can be instrumental in the implementation process of Eco Gozo, the NGO’s executive president Vincent Attard said.

During its Annual Ekoskola National Seminar for Gozo, which was officially opened by the Parliamentary Secretary for Public Dialogue Chris Said and by the Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono, he said that this programme has proved that empowered children can be and are responsible citizens. PL’s MP Justyne Caruana was also present for the event.

The national coordinator for Ekoskola Paul Pace said schools were taking up the programme because they feel that it presents a tool for whole school development.
