During 2007 and 2008 there were eight persons who were arraigned in the Gozo courts on charges of child abuse.

One case involved a three-year-old and the rest involved children between the ages of 12 and 15. Four cases involved the
same minor.

The information was given by Justice Minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici in reply to a parliamentary question by Justyne
Caruana (PL).
