Liberation day

Malta Star (12-01-2008)
Many are those who are fervently counting the days for Labour to be in government. Election Day is being considered as a sort of liberation day when we will start over a new leaf and the new beginning we all want and desire will finally become reality.

Needless to say that the present administration has recurrently been the source of hardship and excruciating humiliation to several who really can take no more. From our end we always strived to bring all this to light and to fight the wars and battles with these people. The Malta Labour party was always committed to champion dignity and we will continue to do so because we really believe in it.

Over and over again we always solicit people to come forward so that we join forces to combat injustices. We need to know what people are going through in order to be able to fight back and restore justice. Last week someone left a bunch of papers in my letterbox requesting me to file them in parliament in the form of a parliamentary question. This person remained anonymous so this deprived me of the opportunity to discuss the matter adequately and to explain that there are standing orders regulating the manner in which parliamentary questions are submitted and therefore I cannot submit those papers with a parliamentary question as a sort of covering letter as this person requested me to do. However, I am still tackling the matter but in a different way.

I can assure everybody that Labour party is committed to defend victims of injustice. Do not hide behind anonymity. Come forward and trust us with your ailments. Rest assured that your trust will be well meet and shortly, very shortly the sun will shine for everybody and not just for the selected few.
