My baby Josephine brought a lot of joy not only to our family but to a lot of people who phoned, SMSed and visited to share their joy with us. To these people a big thank you from us all at home.
Motherhood besides being a joy is also a great responsibility and even though I am still in the very early phases of this new role, my maternal instinct changed also the dimension and perspective of my thoughts concentrating on her well being and future. As a mother I want my baby to partake of Labour’s new plan. More than ever I am deeply offended by PN’s strategy to use children as pons – this Government failed in addressing children’s needs especially in Gozo.
I really cannot digest the fact that millions of Euros were overspent on roads ending up in God only knows whose pocket and then when it comes to basic medical equipment for children in Gozo general hospital is practically inexistent. When the need arises to treat a newborn even for a simple and temporary condition or mishap, newborn babies have to be transferred by helicopter to Malta in an assembled, far from state of the art incubator – if one may call it so.
We lack services, support and equipment in Gozo. Sending a card in Christmas with a nice baby’s face does not solve the problems here. It simply highlights more the insensitivity of the sender with regards to these issues. With Gonzipn our children have no future – Labour is the only way up for them. |
