Thumbs Up.

Once again Malta Labour Party hit the nail on its head. The newly launched five social documents at the MLP’s general conference show that we are the people’s party. A distinguishing feature of our party is that we were always close to the people and therefore we feel people’s ailments and needs.

In fact the proposals brought forward in these documents are very practical and important – bottom line to help people lead a better life.

From my end I was responsible for the document on youths. The consultation process was very vast and we met youths and organisations from all walks of life. This document brought a ray of hope to the youth sector and all together we matured the document to include the aspirations and needs of the youths and organisation we met.

During the last fringe meeting we were given thumbs up and this was very encouraging. The general conference last week approved the document but we are not going to stop there. Meetings will go on because this document is alive and dynamic. We are young and vibrant and so is this document which will bring a breath of fresh air to the youth sector and give hope and courage to all those youths who need it.
